Design studio — For the trades — UK

Your work is first class. Look like it.

We design brand identity, websites, magazines and the whole online presence for British trade businesses. We are a design studio — not a lead-generation agency wearing a hard hat.

01 The problem
A tradesperson in worn overalls standing against a red brick wall

Nobody loses a tender because their brickwork was untidy. They lose it because the other firm’s paperwork looked like a proper company, and theirs looked like a bloke with a van.

Most trade businesses grow to a point and then stall — not because the work slipped, but because the way the business presents itself stopped matching the size of the jobs it wants. The logo was drawn in an afternoon. The website was £399 and it shows. The brochure a main contractor asked for does not exist.

That gap costs money quietly. It shows up as jobs you were never shortlisted for, rates you could not defend, and good people choosing to work somewhere that looks more established.

Closing it is a design problem, and design is the whole of what we do. Not SEO with a logo bolted on the side.

How we work
02 What we do

Four things,
done properly.

Most firms come to us for one and end up taking all four, because they are the same job seen from different angles.

01

Brand identity

The mark, the livery, the workwear, the signage — one firm, saying one thing.

03 Who we work with

Trades we
know inside out.

We have worked in each of these long enough to know what a good job looks like, and what your customers are actually deciding on.

Not on the list? We also work with scaffolders, civils contractors, landscapers and specialist subcontractors. Ask us.

05 The differentiator

We still
make things
on paper.

A website disappears the moment the tab closes. A magazine sits in a site office for two years, gets picked up by a quantity surveyor, and starts a conversation you were not in the room for.

We design and produce company magazines, capability brochures and tender documents — written, art-directed, printed and delivered. No other studio serving this sector does it, which is exactly why it works.

06 How it runs

Same as any
decent job.

No discovery workshops, no strategy decks nobody reads. Five stages, in the order you would run them yourself.

We had been quoting the same work as firms twice our size and losing it on the paperwork. First tender after the rebrand, we got it. The QS told us we looked like the safest pair of hands on the list.

No pitch. No deck.

Let’s have
a look at it.
